Taste the locally farmed sea food, oysters, mussels, specially prepared for you. See a major gold mining area with a colourful history and remnants of the old mines. Visit Hot Water Beach where hot water bubbles through the sandy beach at low tide. See Cathedral Cove, location of the Narnia films, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean coves and beaches. Visit the townships of Coromandel, Whitianga, Thames, Whangamata, Waihi. An awesome trip of photo opportunities, fun, adventure and wonderful memories.
Day 1: From pickup point to Coromandel
7.30am. Drive to Waihi to view the huge open pit Martha’s Gold Mine. As we travel up the stunning Thames coastline we visit Rapaura Water Gardens for coffe/tea and a leisurely stroll around this wonderful garden. Further on we stop for lunch trying the local cuisine before arriving at Coromandel Township.
This afternoon we enjoy an awesome trip on the amazing Driving Creek Railway and explore Coromandel’s sights. Free time to explore Coromandel craft shops, cafes and local products.
Overnight stay at the Coromandel Court Motel. Free evening at your leisure.
Day 2: Coromandel - Return to pickup point
Early start as we cross over the ranges to explore the hidden beaches on the eastern coastline and make our way to the popular beachside holiday township of Whitianga in time to meet our Cruise Boat for a thrilling trip around the many islands off the coast, including the famous Hole in the Rock, Cathedral Cove (Narnia movie location), beaches, coves and the Pacific Ocean! Got your camera ready?
Our last stop is Hot Water Beach where, depending on the tide, we will dig a hole in the sand which will fill with hot water and create nature's sauna! Bring your swim gear if you want to sit in a natural hot water sauna hole!

We travel back via Whangamata beachside township, before arriving back at pickup destination approx 5.30pm
