Great Day Out to Rotorua
Booked this trip on the TripAdvisor website as Silver Fern Scenic Tours (now Tauranga Scenic Tours) were available at the Port of Tauranga. Pat was the driver and was pleasant and enthusiastic. The trip to Rotorua was really good and decent value for money. The geysers, sulphur pools and boiling mud was impressive. The Maori's put on a great culture show and had us all laughing. The kiwi fruit farm was good & informative plus kiwifruit ice cream was delicious. I can recommend this excursion! [William - reviewed on TripAdvisor February 2017]

Pat’s reply:
Thanks William, Maoris have a great sense of humour and put on a very professional cultral show at Te Puia. We had a great bunch of people who all got on very well, a great day out at Rotorua. Cheers Pat . Silver Fern Scenic Tours (now Tauranga Scenic Tours).

Very interesting day tour at Tauranga, New Zealand
We highly recommend Silver Fern Scenic Tours (now Tauranga Scenic Tours) to anyone who visits Tauranga, New Zealand. Its operator Patrick is very knowledgeable about local attractions. Through him we learnt a lot about geothermal activities, Maori cultures and kiwi fruit. Besides he is such a naturally warm person and he will make you feel at home. We left a shirt behind and when we contacted him he gladly offered to send it back to us in Sydney. Good on you Pat! [Bing - reviewed on TripAdvisor February 2017]

Pat’s reply:
Thanks Bing , a great family day for all. Patrick.

Tour to Rotorua via other great stops
Patrick Lally gave us such a wonderful tour. It was more personal than the cruise ship tours and he tailored it to suit our small group of six. The visit to the Kiwi fruit farm was great and the trip to Hamurans Springs was great.  Then to off to Rotorua so see then Maori ciltural show then off to the mud pools hot springs. Had great day. Thank you Patrick for the bottled water at Rotorua and the little gift -much appreciated. Would highly recommend using Pat’s Tauranga Scenic Tours to anyone visiting Tauranga. Guided tour to Rotorua with Patrick Lally
Patrick gave us such a wonderful tour. It was more personal than one of the bigger ones and he tailored it to suit our small group of six. It was the best tour of our cruise around New Zealand. We visited the Kiwi Fruit Farm and his knowledge of the farming process was very interesting. After that we went to the hot springs and mud pools and had a wonderful time there. We also saw the Maori cultural show and was able to catch a glimpse if the very shy kiwi bird. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tauranga. It was very good value! Pat’s reply:
Thanks Jeanette, pleased you and your group enjoyed the tour, we were lucky with the kiwi fruit orchard, the tour I did there 2 days later the crop had been picked so not quite as interesting. The weather was perfect, a lovely autumn day to show you our beautiful Bay of Plenty, a nice day out for me as well. Kind regards, Pat.

Special tour
Patrick is the owner/operator and is a very nice gentleman. He was kind enough to customize a trip for us to Hobbiton, Te Puia, Rotorua, and a kiwi farm. He was prompt in picking us up at our cruise ship at the Tauranga port. He is very knowledgeable about all the sights. His vehicle was comfortable and clean. He is a safe driver. My wife got stung by a bee at Hobbiton and Patrick was concerned enough that he went to the office there and got her some ice and cream to put on the bite. As I was planning this trip, he was very prompt in his email responses to me. When in the Tauranga area, tour with Patrick. [Tim - reviewed on TripAdvisor March 2017]

Pat’s reply:
Hi Tim, thanks , I am delighted your family group enjoyed the tour, and I enjoyed showing you beautiful the Bay of Plenty region. Its a long day completing both attractions in 8 hours but well worth the effort. Kind regards, Patrick.

1/2 day sightseeing Tour leaving from Tauranga with Pat
Our tour included driving around Mt.Maunganui. We stopped at surf beach and took a leisurely walk to Leisure Island to view the blowhole (no cost). Then into the country and onto Okere Falls where we viewed the falls from two different platforms and very fortunate to see canoeists riding the white water and over the falls. Awesome fun. Further around Lake Rotorua to visit Hamurawa Falls (cost involved) where we walked to the source of the spring. This was a lovely walk through a small Redwood Forest. Returned to Tauranga on the old highway. A great afternoon touring. I recommend you take your camera for the delightful shots available and walking shoes for the shorts walks the driver will take his visitors. I will recommend this type of tour to my Wellington friends. [Trish - reviewed on TripAdvisor March 2017]

Pat’s reply:
Hi Trish, thanks, glad you enjoyed our half day trip, lots of things to see and do in our lovely region. Pat.
